Frau soll 93 Tage ins Gefängnis, weil sie im Vorgarten Gemüse anbaute und der Aufforderung ihn abzubauen nicht nachkam..

Nach Ansicht der Stadt gehört das nicht in einen Vorgarten, sondern hinter das Haus.

OAK PARK, Mich. (WJBK) – “The price of organic food is kind of through the roof,” said Julie Bass.

So, why not grow your own? However, Bass’ garden is a little unique because it’s in her front yard.

“We thought it’d be really cool to do it so the neighbors could see. The kids love it. The kids from the neighborhood all come and help,” she said.

Bass’ cool garden has landed her in hot water with the City of Oak Park. Code enforcement gave her a warning, then a ticket and now she’s been charged with a misdemeanor.

HW McCrakin but if you actually read the statute, it includes farms, not residential land in neighborhoods that IS NOT ZONED FOR AGRICULTURE. are you even aware of zoning laws?

Anscheinend gibt es
*Zoning laws* in Zonen einteilende Gesetze, die zwischen Landwirtschaftlichen Flächen und Wohnflächen unterscheiden. Es klingt danach als solle das strikt eingehalten werden, kein Gemüseanbau in Wohnflächen vorgesehen sein.

Über Gemüseanbau habe ich dort zwar nichts gefunden, jedoch dieses...

Grundsätzlich gibt es drei verschiedene Arten von Zoning Districts[5]:

* Wohngebiete (Residence Districts) in der Zoning Map mit einem "R" gekennzeichnet – in Wohngebieten ist generell keine gewerbliche oder industrielle Nutzung erlaubt;

Demnach das Aus für alle Selbständigen, die von daheim aus arbeiten, um ihre Existenz zu sichern.

Neuerdings gibt es Mischgebiete in denen auch Künstlerlofts zulässig sind.

Demnächst wird die Fed über ein Verbot von (biologischem) Gemüseanbau in Hintergärten entscheiden, 1 Million Dollar Strafe sind angedacht.

Das Ganze hat auch was mit Durchsetzung von Kunstdünger, Gensaat und Monsanto zu tun....

Some small farms and organic food growers could be placed under direct supervision of the federal government under new legislation making its way through Congress.

House Resolution 875, or the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2009, was introduced by Rosa DeLauro, D-Conn., in February. DeLauro's husband, Stanley Greenburg, works for Monsanto – the world's leading producer of herbicides and genetically engineered seed.

DeLauro's act has 39 co-sponsors and was referred to the House Agriculture Committee on Feb. 4. It calls for the creation of a Food Safety Administration to allow the government to regulate food production at all levels – and even mandates property seizure, fines of up to $1 million per offense and criminal prosecution for producers, manufacturers and distributors who fail to comply with regulations.

Michael Olson, host of the Food Chain radio show and author of "Metro Farm," told WND the government should focus on regulating food production in countries such as China and Mexico rather than burdening small and organic farmers in the U.S. with overreaching regulations.

"We need somebody to watch over us when we're eating food that comes from thousands and thousands of miles away. We need some help there," he said. "But when food comes from our neighbors or from farmers who we know, we don't need all of those rules. If your neighbor sells you something that is bad and you get sick, you are going to get your hands on that farmer, and that will be the end of it. It regulates itself." (continue)

die Zitate des unten verlinkten Blogs listen die Bedenken gegen das obige neue Gesetz (Nahrungsmittelverordnung) auf.

U. a. steht dort > Jeder Aspekt des Gemüseanbaus wird gesetzlich erfaßt und kann für illegal erklärt werden.

Pay special attention to

* Section 3 which is the definitions portion of the bill-read in it's entirety.
* section 103, 206 and 207- read in it's entirety.

Red flags I found and I am sure there are more...........

* Legally binds state agriculture depts to enforcing federal guidelines effectively taking away the states power to do anything other than being food police for the federal dept.
* Effectively criminalizes organic farming but doesn't actually use the word organic.
* Affects anyone growing food even if they are not selling it but consuming it.
* Affects anyone producing meat of any kind including the processing wild game for personal consumption.
* Legislation is so broad based that every aspect of growing or producing food can be made illegal. There are no specifics which is bizarre considering how long the legislation is.
* Section 103 is almost entirely about the administrative aspect of the legislation. It will allow the appointing of officials from the factory farming corporations and lobbyists and classify them as experts and allow them to determine and interpret the legislation. Who do you think they are going to side with?
* Section 206 defines what will be considered a food production facility and what will be enforced up all food production facilities. The wording is so broad based that a backyard gardener could be fined and more.
* Section 207 requires that the state's agriculture dept act as the food police and enforce the federal requirements. This takes away the states power and is in violation of the 10th amendment.
* There are many more but by the time I got this far in the legislation I was so alarmed that I wanted to bring someone's attention to it. (to the one person who reads my blog)

Du liebe Zeit, als ob es keine anderen Probleme gäbe. Ehrlich gesagt, würde ich mein Gemüse auch nicht zur Strasse hin anbauen, aber ganz einfach deshalb, weil ich keine Lust darauf hätte, dass Hunde in meinen Vorgarten kacken. Und die Autoabgase sind hinter dem Haus wahrscheinlich auch geringer.

Naja, ich bin der festen überzeugung, dass da politisches Kalkül dahinter steckt. Wir sollen den Scheiss fressen, den uns die GLobalisten vorwerfen, am besten den Müll aus den Fast-food ketten.. Egal wo ich hinsehe ich seh nur noch star-bucks, McDreck, Würger King und Subway.. Wenn man in die Tiefkühltruhen schaut, dann wird man überflutet von Fertiggerichten und Maggie-Instant müll. Die leute wissen heute nicht mal mehr, wie man eine soße bindet..

Im Penny ist genau eine 160x80 Truhe mit Gemüseprodukten befüllt. die restlichen 19 sind voll mit Fertiggerichten..

Wir sind gerade dabei nur noch Frisch zu kochen und uns umzustellen. ist ein wenig gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber notfalls halten wir die Kids mit selbstgemachter Pizza bei laune..!

Irgendwann wird uns das auch blühen, irgendeine kranke EU Vorschrift wird bald kommen und von unseren Volksverbrechern umgesetzt werden und dann gibts bald auch kein Gemüse mehr aus dem Garten.. Ich seh schon die Stasi vom Ordnungsamt im meinem Garten die Beete zertrampeln und meine frau und mich mit Plastik-Schnellspannern fesseln und abfahren, während meine Kinder ins politische umerziehungslager kommen..

und Food Safety Modernization Act etc. ist das ein Puzzleteil von vielen, die Selbstversorgung zu erschweren, zu kriminalisieren.

Es geht um weit mehr als die von der Stadt vorgeschobene stilistische Frage, ob das schön ist etc.
